The Bavaria 39 is an excellent training yacht with a simple rig — including an in-mast furling mainsail and a roller furling genoa. Comprehensively equipped for RYA training, Orestis offers comfortable accommodation for a maximum of 5 students in 3 double cabins, one of which is en suite. She has excellent sailing capabilities and is manageable and responsive under power in close-quarters situations.

Below Deck

Cabins & Sleeping

Orestis features three cabins — two at the back of the yacht with a shared heads/bathroom, and a larger en-suite cabin in the bow. The starboard aft cabin is reserved for the instructor. All cabins feature hatches and fans for ventilation, and full bedding for different seasons.

Shared Spaces

The interior is light and airy with a large seating area, fully equipped galley/kitchen and navigation station. 12v charging in the saloon, plus 220v plugs on shore power. Soft bag storage under the seating area.

On Deck

Exterior

The cockpit at the stern offers comfortable seating and a removable single wheel for steering. A large bimini provides sun protection while the sprayhood handles foul weather. Sailing power comes from an in-mast furling mainsail and a large roller genoa.

Safety

Orestis is fully compliant with both Greek and UK coding. Equipment includes inflatable lifejackets for all crew, a liferaft, multiple radios, jackstays, gas and smoke detectors, and other specialist safety equipment.
