Overview
All our online theory courses are delivered by Navathome, an RYA Recognised Training Centre specialising in online training. This advanced course is for more experienced skippers building on the Day Skipper qualification, equipping you to navigate safely on coastal and offshore passages.
The course takes your theory knowledge to the standard required for the RYA Yachtmaster™ Coastal and Yachtmaster™ Offshore practical exams, concentrating on advanced navigation and meteorology. Three exam papers are included.
The course can be covered as a series of short sessions, as an intensive week-long course, or by distance learning. Students in the southern hemisphere can take advantage of a specially adapted version of the training materials.

Requirements
Students should have the practical and theoretical knowledge of Day Skipper level before starting this course.
Duration
The online course takes approximately 60 hours, as everyone learns at their own pace. There is an initial 6-month time limit to complete the course, with a further 6-month extension available at a cost of £30.
The course can be covered as short sessions, an intensive week-long block, or by distance learning — whichever suits you best.
