The training scheme is covered in detail in the RYA G158 log book, which will be available to view during your course. If you plan to do multiple courses, we recommend buying your own copy before you travel or on arrival at one of our centres.

Modular Learning

Progress at Your Own Pace

Thanks to the modular nature of RYA training, students who need more time can have individual sections signed off in their logbook and return to an RYA centre to complete only those aspects where they need more practice.

Course Switching

Not Fixed — We’ll Find the Right Fit

While you will have booked a particular course, it is not fixed. There is flexibility to change to an alternative very early on — particularly useful for students unsure if they are ready for their Day Skipper. There are no charges for this. We always aim to ensure you get the most appropriate training.
